Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Our client, a leading healthcare facility, is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses for their fast-paced Emergency Department. The 24-bed ER serves a diverse patient population and handles everything from minor injuries to critical trauma cases, offering an excellent opportunity for nurses who thrive under pressure and are passionate about emergency medicine.

Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients according to ESI acuity levels in high-volume emergency department
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with accuracy and attention to detail
• Monitor patient vital signs continuously and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Perform emergency procedures including IV insertion, wound care, and catheterization
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
• Maintain emergency equipment and supplies ensuring readiness for critical situations
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental safety protocols

Requirements

• Current RN license in Arizona or compact state license in good standing
• BLS and ACLS certification required at time of hire
• PALS certification preferred or willingness to obtain within 90 days
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from accredited program
• Minimum 2 years of ER or ICU experience preferred
• Strong critical thinking and rapid assessment skills in emergency situations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with patients and families
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Knowledge of Epic EMR system preferred but not required
