About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Long-Term Care RN in Yuma, Arizona, 85365!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Staff Augmentation Duration: 58 days Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM) Experience: Minimum of 1 year in skilled nursing facility or long-term care preferred License: Active RN license in the state of Arizona Description: Administer medication and perform treatments on an assigned unit, as ordered by the physician and within the scope of license. Receive and deliver a variety of information regarding residents' medical, social, functional, and other needs. Participate in the receiving and giving of shift reports. Communicate with residents, families, and staff as necessary to ensure residents receive appropriate care from the interdisciplinary team. Perform the initial admission nursing assessment on newly admitted residents. Assist with the development of the Minimum Data Set assessments, ongoing quarterly reviews, and care plans. Maintain appropriate clinical and administrative documentation regarding diagnosis, assessments, treatment, and summary of client progress. Lead and perform limited supervision of subordinate staff and assist as needed with direct resident care for Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, personal hygiene, and mobility. Conduct and participate in in-service training and staff development programs for regularly employed staff. Utilize concepts and tools for problem-solving and continuous work/process improvements and efficiency. Other duties as assigned related to the position. Knowledge of gerontological/geriatric nursing theory and practices. Understand residents' changing medical, physical, and psychological care needs. Familiarity with the effects of the aging process. Knowledge of practices and procedures of team nursing. Understand the practices and procedures of developing treatment plans for resident care. Knowledge of pharmacology and medication practices. Familiarity with federal, state, and agency laws, rules, and regulations governing professional nursing practices. Effectively observe and assess behavior and progress of patients. Apply and interpret laws and regulations governing geriatric nursing practices. Develop and carry out patient care plans within a team nursing concept. Demonstrate effective oral and written communication. Build interpersonal relationships. Ability to learn, implement, and monitor methods for continuous improvement and efficiency.
