Occupational Therapist

Occupational Therapist - Travel Position Location: Yuma, AZ Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 5x8s Pay: $2327/week Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to help patients regain the skills needed for daily living and independence. This role involves evaluating patient needs, creating individualized treatment plans, and providing therapeutic interventions to improve a patient's ability to perform everyday tasks. The ideal candidate is creative, patient-focused, and excels at collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to facilitate a safe and successful return to home, work, or school. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess a patient's cognitive, physical, and functional abilities for activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Develop and implement individualized, goal-oriented treatment plans to improve independence in self-care, home management, and community tasks.
• Provide therapeutic interventions focused on upper extremity function, motor skills, and cognitive retraining.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists to ensure coordinated care.
• Educate patients and their families on adaptive strategies, home modifications, and the use of assistive devices.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, treatments, and progress.
• Assist with discharge planning, recommending appropriate equipment and community resources.

Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Arizona.
• Doctoral or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience
• COVID vaccine and recent TB test may be required.
