The Senior Accountant is responsible for full cycle accounting and financial reporting for Greenlight Communities, Greenlight Marketing, ownership, and legacy entities. This includes the preparation of consolidated financial statements and cash and treasury management.

 

Full Cycle Accounting and Financial Reporting


  • Reconciliations of all major balance sheet accounts

  • Preparation of consolidated financial statements

  • Maintain general ledgers and chart of accounts – posting entries in QuickBooks

  • Prepare monthly financial statements for investors

Financial Reporting to Partners, Investors, Lenders, and Other Parties Including:


  • Quarterly and year-end financial reporting to lenders in accordance with loan documents

  • Prepare monthly consolidated variance reports

  • Review monthly operating reports from third-party property managers for completeness and accuracy

  • Post operating activity for entities with leasing activity/operating expenses

  • Prepare and mail Form 1099s for all entities

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in property management accounting 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in real estate development or management

  • Experience in accounting software preferred (QuickBooks and Yardi)

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage several projects simultaneously

  • Maintains a professional, calm, and kind presence in high-pressure situations

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present financial information to management

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with expert-level skills in Excel

  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
