BigFoot Staffing is seeking an experienced Electrical General Superintendent for an established, industry-leading electrical construction company. This key leadership position oversees all aspects of electrical construction projects — from field operations and manpower planning to materials management and safety compliance. The Electrical General Superintendent ensures that all electrical work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and code compliance. The ideal candidate brings proven leadership experience, strong technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple teams and projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Training:
- Train and mentor Apprentices, Laborers, Foremen, Journeymen, and Superintendents.
- Manage all field personnel, processes, and electrical construction tools.
- Ensure team members maintain proper certifications, equipment, and training.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and technical excellence across the field team.
Project Oversight:
- Supervise electrical field crews and monitor progress, safety, and quality.
- Oversee electrical installations to ensure adherence to project scope, drawings, NEC code, and industry standards.
- Evaluate construction methods and determine cost-effective electrical solutions.
- Perform material take-offs, order electrical components, and track inventory.
- Maintain project schedules and allocate manpower to meet deadlines.
Coordination & Communication:
- Coordinate with utility companies, inspectors, general contractors, and other trades.
- Review and price project changes (ASIs, RFIs, addendums) in accordance with contract documents.
- Attend design and coordination meetings to address constructibility and system compatibility.
- Maintain project documentation including photos, reports, and daily progress tracking.
- Communicate project manpower needs and field updates to management.
Safety & Compliance:
- Enforce all company and site-specific safety and environmental policies.
- Verify that all field personnel maintain up-to-date safety certifications.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead with a “safety-first” mindset, ensuring every job meets high-quality and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license in the state of employment.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an Electrical General Superintendent .
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, methods, and systems in commercial or industrial construction.
- Proven ability to lead large field teams and communicate effectively with clients, engineers, and project staff.
- Basic proficiency in English (verbal and written) required for safety and operational communication.
Compensation & Benefits:
Pay Range: $90,000 – $125,000 annually (DOE)
