The Blackhawk Group
Phoenix, AZ
About The Blackhawk Group

At The Blackhawk Group, you’ll join a team transforming the way general aviation operates — built on speed, precision, and purpose. You’ll have direct access to senior leadership, influence company-wide initiatives, and play a hands-on role in shaping how we grow.

The Blackhawk Group stands at the forefront of innovation and modernization within the light turbine aircraft market. By uniting the strengths of its multiple business units and locations across the U.S., the company is redefining standards in aircraft performance and customer service. Our mission is to be the premier service provider for light turbine-powered aircraft — delivering exceptional customer experiences and data-driven solutions through an empowered and engaged team.

Established in 2021, The Blackhawk Group includes operations facilities in Broomfield, CO; Camarillo, CA; Columbia, MO; Glendale, AZ; Waco, TX, and Alaska. Together, we are elevating aircraft performance and service excellence to new heights.

Introduction

Are you a hands-on HR professional ready to make a lasting impact in a company that’s redefining performance in aviation? The Blackhawk Group is expanding and seeking an experienced HR Generalist to help shape how we hire, engage, and develop talent across multiple locations. Based at our North Phoenix corporate office (I-17 & 101), this role supports sites in the Phoenix metro area, Camarillo, CA, and Alaska and requires occasional travel.

At The Blackhawk Group, we’re not just building aircraft performance — we’re building a high-performing culture. As an HR Generalist, you’ll partner closely with leaders and employees to drive initiatives that strengthen engagement, ensure compliance, and elevate organizational excellence. This is the ideal opportunity for a forward-thinking HR professional who thrives in a fast-moving environment, enjoys solving people challenges, and wants to see their impact take flight.

What You’ll Do

  • Build Strong Relationships: Be a go-to resource for employees and leaders. Provide guidance on employee relations, performance, and engagement — ensuring fairness, consistency, and alignment with company values.
  • Drive a Positive Culture: Champion programs that make The Blackhawk Group a great place to work. Promote our values — Customer First, Own It, Make It Better, Be Quick, Grow Together — in every conversation and decision.
  • Enhance the Employee Experience: Design and deliver programs that foster engagement, recognition, and belonging — from onboarding to career milestones and beyond.
  • Recruit Top Talent: Manage the full hiring cycle for your assigned business groups — from defining roles and crafting postings to interviewing, selecting, and onboarding exceptional talent that fits our “One Blackhawk” culture.
  • Lead with Compliance & Integrity: Maintain HR compliance across multiple states, ensuring policies, procedures, and practices meet both legal standards and our high internal expectations.
  • Coach and Empower Leaders: Partner with managers to strengthen leadership skills, improve team dynamics, and navigate sensitive employee matters with confidence and fairness.
  • Support Change & Growth: Implement new HR initiatives, streamline processes, and help guide organizational transformations as we expand our Performance Center network.
  • Champion Learning & Growth: Collaborate on talent development and succession planning efforts to build future leaders and strengthen bench depth across the organization.
  • Use Data to Drive Decisions: Prepare and analyze HR metrics and reports to inform leadership decisions on engagement, retention, and workforce planning — always making data more actionable and transparent.
