Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement with 2 weekends per 4-week schedule
• Holiday requirement for Christmas, New Year's, and Thanksgiving (work 2 days and an eve or 2 eves and a day)
• Patient ratio of 1:5 on 49-bed telemetry unit
• First to float to East Campus and possibly PCU if qualified
• No call or standby requirements
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must take and pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts with 80% score
• Navy blue scrub color required
• One shift of unit-specific orientation provided
• Cerner charting system experience recommended
• BSN not required
• Must interpret telemetry strips and sign at least once per shift
• Care for patients with CHF, respiratory issues, GI conditions, diabetes, post-catheterization, and total joint replacements
• Experience required with reading basic telemetry strips, CVA/TIA patients, and total joint replacement care
• Work with BiPap, CPAP, and breathing treatment equipment
• Handle set-rate Diltiazem/Cardizem drips (no titration required)
• 4-week self-scheduling with manager balancing
• Cancellation policy: 4 shifts per contract (3 shifts if contract under 13 weeks)

This regional medical center operates a comprehensive telemetry unit specializing in cardiac and medical care. The facility features a 49-bed unit providing acute care services for patients with various cardiovascular, respiratory, and medical conditions. The healthcare organization maintains modern equipment including telemetry monitoring, respiratory therapy equipment, and utilizes electronic health records for patient care coordination.
