Facilities Maintenance Coordinator
The Facilities Maintenance Coordinator ensures clean and presentable environments for weekend services and mid-week gatherings at assigned campus(es) and provides shift supervision for maintenance staff and volunteers. This position performs semi-skilled and skilled maintenance and repair work, as needed, and works with other campus counterparts to share best practices and resources as appropriate. In all actions, reflects the SVCC team leadership distinctives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Supervise, train, and coordinate facilities maintenance staff and volunteers in the completion of maintenance projects and tasks on assigned shift
2. Perform administrative tasks related to facilities maintenance and repair, including planning, scheduling, ordering of project material, and logging repairs and incidents by entering tickets in repair data system
3. Perform regular inspections and make recommendations for replacement/repair to Facilities Director
4. Perform a variety of physical tasks related to facilities maintenance, including plumbing, carpentry, flooring, painting, electrical, lighting, and HVAC installations and repairs, as needed
5. Perform a variety of janitorial duties, including cleaning of floors, bathrooms, kitchens, windows, and setup of classroom tables and chairs, as needed
6. Operate a variety of hand and power tools and heavy equipment and commercial vehicles, as needed
7. Work with a variety of chemicals including cleaning products, solvent, glues, etc.
8. Ensure security of rooms, buildings and assigned campus(es), as needed
9. May be required to use company vehicle to obtain supplies/parts and travel to alternate campus locations.

This job operates in indoor and outdoor environments with varying temperatures (less than 50 degrees and greater than 100 degrees) and conditions that include wet, humid, noise, vibration into hands, chemicals, blood/body fluids, fumes, odors, dust, poor ventilation, moving objects, high elevations, slippery surfaces, safety equipment, carpeted, linoleum, or cement floors. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand. walk, bend/stoop, crawl, climb, reach at, below and above shoulder, crouch, kneel, lift up to 40 lbs, carry, push, pull, repetitive hand and foot motion, talk, hearing and vision abilities in accordance with duties, finger dexterity to handle or operate objects, tools, or controls. TRAVEL REQUIRED
Minimal local travel to alternate assigned campus(es) may be required QUALIFICATIONS – To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, an/or ability required. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of specialized training in maintenance, construction or facilities maintenance
One year of full-time experience in facilities maintenance and/or construction work involving a wide range of systems and related equipment. Working knowledge of a variety of building trades to include, but not limited to, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting and electrical
Possession of a valid Arizona Driver’s License and continually meeting requirements to maintain license and good driving record
Effective and concise communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position and handle and operate power tools and heavy equipment and commercial vehicles skillfully and safely
Ability to work with variety of chemicals including cleaning products, solvent, glues, etc.
Teamwork orientation and demonstrated ability to effectively interface with staff, volunteers and others in a manner consistent with establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
Effective time management skills
Agrees and aligns with the vision, values and doctrine statement of SVCC PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Two years of full-time experience in facilities maintenance and/or construction work involving a wide range of systems and related equipment. Aerial and scissor lift certification
