The Maternal Newborn Nurse Manager oversees a 40-bed unit providing comprehensive newborn, antepartum, and postpartum care for adolescent and adult patients. You’ll lead a seasoned nursing team devoted to safe, compassionate, family centered care. The unit spans the full acuity spectrum, from low-risk deliveries attended by OB providers and Certified Nurse Midwives to high-risk pregnancies co-managed with Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Dedicated social workers address psychosocial needs throughout hospitalization, and IBCLCs offer seven-day-a-week lactation support, coordinate donor milk services, and arrange outpatient follow-up to promote ongoing breastfeeding success.

Reporting to the Director of Women’s and Newborn Services, you will collaborate with OB hospitalists, certified nurse midwives, neonatology, anesthesia, pharmacy, and therapy services. You will lead 24/7 operations, acuity-based staffing, and budget stewardship while optimizing throughput and patient flow. Clinical excellence is advanced through competency validation, preceptor development, shared governance, and evidence-based policies that meet or exceed regulatory standards.
