Each position has the following duties:

Teach 2 sections of content

Crew Leader (Homeroom Class)

Use the expeditionary or experiential learning pedagogy

Plan 3 different week long expeditions outside of the classroom

Valid AZ Finger Print Clarance Card

Northpoint is looking for enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated educators to join our outdoor/experiential learning community! Teachers have a 4 day academic week with Friday's planned for professional development and planning time. Teachers work in small teaching groups to develop cross curricular projects and experiences for students. Northpoint takes students on 3 different week long expeditions throughout the year with an opportunity to plan more experiences outside of the classroom. Teachers have a class load of 2 classes, a homeroom and 1 prep period a day. Northpoint also has a maximum of 25 student in each. Teachers work one on one to develop professional goals with Northpoint's instructional coach.

Preferred Qualities:

Bachelor Degree in Education or related area of study

Experience in Outdoor Education

Willingness to camp and travel with students

Willingness to collaborate with a team of teachers
