Your expertise and compassion will help drive student achievement and social-emotional growth throughout the school year.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with middle school students and a variety of learning needs
- Proficient in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to create engaging and adaptive lessons based on student strengths and needs
- Dedication to fostering positive relationships with students, families, and staff
Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and adjust instruction to meet the individual needs of students within a middle school setting
- Develop, write, and update IEPs in collaboration with colleagues and parents/guardians
- Provide both direct and consultative special education services
- Maintain accurate records on student performance and progress
- Promote a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment
- Work effectively with general education teachers and support staff to ensure implementation of student accommodations
- Communicate regularly with families to share updates and strategies for student success
