Our Chandler client is seeking an experienced Material Handler.

Job Overview and Responsibilities

This role is primarily focused on the safe and accurate movement and management of materials , with a heavy emphasis on raw steel .

Key Duties

• Shipping & Receiving:

  • Safely unload and properly store incoming materials in the outside yard.

  • Verify material identification and quantity.

  • Inspect raw steel upon receipt (or rejection) for quality.

  • Inspect all shipments for damage or discrepancies and report issues immediately.

• Inventory Management:

  • Supply parts to the shop floor and move subassemblies from the shop floor, storing them properly.

  • Assist with cycle counts and physical inventory .

  • Pull parts for orders.

  • Keep inventory organized and stored in the correct part number location .

Logistics

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM (a 9.5-hour day, likely including an unpaid lunch break).

• Work Environment: 80% outside and 20% inside . This means the work is primarily outdoors in the yard, exposed to varying weather conditions.

Essential Requirements

• Forklift Experience: 3 years of experience operating a sit-down propane forklift .

• Computer Skills: Computer experience is necessary for inventory and record-keeping. MS Office and SAP experience is a plus.
