As a Load Research Technician , you'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of smart meter interval data used to support customer requests, utility planning, billing, and load research studies. Your work will help provide the reliable data needed to make informed decisions that power communities.

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll primarily focus on processing and managing smart meter interval data while supporting a variety of analytical and reporting activities. Responsibilities include:

• Interrogate smart meter interval data and process it through Validation, Editing, and Estimation (VEE) techniques.

• Maintain accurate data records by storing processed information in company databases.

• Produce data in both tabular and graphical formats for reporting and publication.

• Support the mapping and tabulation of new residential, commercial, and industrial customer load data.

• Assist with developing monthly performance indicators, including variance calculations for sales and revenue metrics.

• Complete special projects and provide support to planning analysts and supervisors as needed.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to quickly learn new software applications and systems.

• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

• Strong organizational and data entry skills.

• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Some college coursework or an Associate's degree.

• Previous experience in data entry, administrative support, utility operations, or data management.

• Experience working with databases or large data sets.

Pay Details: $27.00 per hour
