Primary Care Physician

Veterans Engineering is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Primary Care Physician to join our esteemed healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive primary care services to veterans and their families, focusing on preventive care, chronic disease management, and health education. You will play a vital role in enhancing the health and well-being of our patients while working in a collaborative environment with other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnoses, developing tailored treatment plans
• Provide preventive care, health maintenance, and management of chronic conditions
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab results to inform treatment decisions
• Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions in accordance with best practices
• Educate patients and their families on health and wellness, lifestyle modifications, and disease prevention
• Document all patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
• Collaborate effectively with specialists, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care
• Participate in quality improvement activities and contribute to ongoing professional development
• Promote patient-centered care by building trusting relationships with patients and their families

Requirements

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution
• Completed residency training in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related field
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Primary Care Medicine
• Valid and active medical license to practice in the state
• Minimum of 4 years of clinical experience in primary care
• Strong assessment, diagnosis, and treatment skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients
• Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
• Understanding of current clinical guidelines and best practices in primary care
• BLS, ACLS (through American Heart), DEA certifications required

Travel Requirements

Travel to client locations is required for this position and may vary based on project needs.
