Project Manager
Job Description
Job Description
Kelaca is seeking a Project Manager for our client partner in Phoenix, AZ . You will supercharge on-site project coordination for a major industrial facility, acting as the critical link between engineers, contractors, and ownership. Your mission: resolve issues rapidly, keep stakeholders aligned, and maintain forward momentum on a fast-moving, technically complex project. This is a field-facing leadership role, perfect for someone who thrives on structure, communication, and making things happen.
Who Should Apply
If you’re a seasoned construction project manager, field supervisor, or coordination expert who thrives on organizing complexity, resolving chaos, and driving progress, this role is designed for you.
What You’ll Achieve in Your First Year
- Shorten issue cycle times and drive toward zero delays on-site.
- Become the go-to facilitator who keeps meetings productive, problems visible, and solutions actionable.
- Relieve technical experts from field logistics, allowing them to focus on engineering and design.
- Improve stakeholder satisfaction and project efficiency through proactive, transparent communication.
- Build an inclusive, collaborative site culture known for smooth delivery, professionalism, and teamwork.
How You’ll Do It
- Be present on-site daily, embedded within field and design coordination teams.
- Lead and attend multiple construction and design meetings or huddles each day.
- Walk the jobsite, identify potential issues early, and collaborate directly with stakeholders to resolve them.
- Maintain documentation, issue logs, and progress tracking with rigorous follow-up.
- Communicate constantly – email, text, chat, in-person – to keep everyone informed and engaged.
- Act as a bridge and ambassador between diverse teams: de-escalate conflicts, translate technical challenges, and build trust.
- Use practical, hands-on project management to maximize productivity and minimize confusion in the field.
You’ll Be Successful If You Have
- 10+ years of construction, project management, or field coordination experience on large industrial, structural, or MEP projects (semiconductor, healthcare, technology, or similar).
- A track record of making things move in complex, multi-stakeholder environments, especially when no one reports directly to you.
- Exceptional organizational skills; the person who always knows who, what, where, and when.
- Strong interpersonal and cultural fluency, able to work across backgrounds, languages, and communication styles.
- Calm under pressure—translating high-stress moments into actionable next steps.
- (Preferred but not required) Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline; certifications (PE, PMP, etc.) a plus but not essential.
Skills & Tools
- Field management, plan reading, and issue tracking.
- RFI/submittal management and construction administration.
- Meeting facilitation, documentation, and follow-through.
- High-speed verbal, written, and digital communication.
- Comfort with digital tools: project management software, messaging platforms, CAD/BIM viewing, and progress dashboards.
- Bilingual or cross-cultural communication skills are a strong plus.
Environment Cues
- Full-time, on-site role at a large, dynamic industrial facility.
- Fast-paced, high-stakes, multi-lingual, multi-party environment.
- Reports to project or organizational leadership; partners functionally with owners, contractors, and design teams.
- Emphasis on psychological safety, inclusion, open feedback, and mutual respect.
- Regular field walks, site meetings, and hands-on documentation required.
Key Outputs / Success Measures (Year 1): KPIs & Target Outcomes
- Issue Response Time: 100% triaged within 24 hours
- Cycle Time Reduction: Measurable improvement vs. industry benchmark
- Stakeholder Satisfaction: Recognized as “go-to person” by peers and leadership
- Bottleneck Prevention: Issues flagged early and resolved pre-delay
- Reporting Quality: Field documentation clear, timely, and actionable
- Transition Effectiveness: Smooth handoff from current site lead within 90 days
Compensation / Benefits

- Relocation: Local candidates preferred; limited relocation support may be available.
- Comprehensive benefits including medical, PTO, and standard organizational coverage.
- Supportive, trust-driven culture that values autonomy, communication, and results.
