Be part of what truly makes us special and impactful. **The Opportunity** We are looking for a Senior Compliance Risk Manager with deep expertise in NAIC Regulations to provide vital second-line independent oversight of our business products, services, and processes. This role is needed for ensuring our operations meet regulatory requirements by implementing a robust compliance framework. The ideal candidate will possess a detailed understanding of NAIC regulations and have knowledge of life, annuity, and health insurance claims. Experience with risk assessment, including Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and Product Risk Control Initiatives (PRCI). Strong written and verbal communication skills for building positive relationships with business partners and team members, inspiring change within the organization. The ability to collaborate and implement strategies across cross-functional teams at all levels will be key to succeeding in this position, making it an integral part of our compliance ecosystem. We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be **in the office 4 days per week.** This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, Chesapeake, VA or Tampa, FL. Relocation assistance is **not** available for this position. **What you'll do:** + Provides guidance to the business to ensure documents, projects, processes or product initiatives align with regulatory and legal requirements and enterprise policy. + Synthesizes analyses, identifies root cause(s) of potential compliance risk, provides recommendations that influence business solutions and validates resolution + Responsible for project management by leading and influencing cross functional enterprise or compliance teams. + Reviews implementation planning for new laws and regulations and ensures appropriate parties have been engaged. + Conveys information and position clearly, concisely, logically and in an organized manner. + Performs compliance risk management activities in accordance with enterprise compliance policies and procedures. + Serves as a resource to team members on compliance issues **What you have:** + Bachelor's degree. + 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree. + 6 or more years experience in compliance, risk, legal or audit within the financial services or insurance industry or niche technical fields directly related to the role. + Experience working in a highly regulated environment. + Knowledge in a specific area of compliance laws, regulations, and regulatory expectations. + Ability to apply knowledge of regulatory compliance to consult and provide insight and guidance. + Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. + Experience providing guidance and standards to team members. **What sets you apart:** + Deep understanding of NAIC regulations. + Knowledge of life, annuity, and health insurance claims. + Risk assessment experience; RCSA and PRCI + Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with business partners and teammates and inspire change + Ability to collaborate and implement among cross-functional teams, including all levels of the organization **Compensation range:** The salary range for this position is: $103,450 - $197,730 **.** **USAA does not provide visa sponsorship for this role. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location. Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
