CVICU RN Job Details

• Location: Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 (Arizona nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: CVICU (Blended ICU), Level III Trauma Center
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/1/2025 – End: 3/2/2026)
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2130 - $2190 per week
• Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric
• Unit Size: 16 beds, 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Call Requirements: Yes
• Float Requirements: Intermediate Care Unit, ED holding as needed

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered RN license (Registered Nurse)
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or blended ICU nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to float to Intermediate Care and ED holding as needed
• Strong clinical skills in managing STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, Sepsis, CABG, Valve repair/replacement, Acute Respiratory Failure, A. Fib RVR, ETOH Withdrawal, Head Injury, Overdose, Stroke, Trauma, CRRT, TCAR & TVAR
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

CVICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in the CVICU
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Utilize Baxter pumps and Medhost EHR for patient management
• Float to Intermediate Care Unit and ED holding as primary RN when required
• Participate in call rotation and respond to emergent patient needs
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and attendance standards
