Job Title: Registered Nurse (School Nurse, 1:1)

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Contract Duration: 8 Months

Job Summary:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking School Nurse for exciting Travel and/or Local job in Phoenix, AZ 85021 . Shift - 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 nursing care, including breathing treatments and other necessary interventions during the school day.

• Assess health care needs and refer to specialists as appropriate.

• Administer prescribed medications, immunizations, and treatments while documenting dosages, responses, and any adverse effects.

• Maintain accurate and compliant medical records in line with state laws and physician directives.

• Educate the student on personal hygiene, health practices, and overall wellness where appropriate.

• Support medical appointments, including physician communication and interpretation of medical information for the student and family.

• Monitor and manage emergencies related to accidents or sudden health issues.

• Keep parents informed about the student’s health status and progress.

• Collaborate with instructional staff, residence staff, and physicians to effectively communicate health needs.

• Participate in routine health screenings and surveys as required.

• Take sign language classes to enhance communication with deaf or hard-of-hearing students (if applicable).

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona .

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience , preferably with medically complex or pediatric patients.

• Strong clinical assessment and emergency response skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation.

• Compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills when working with students, families, and staff.
