Position Description
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to lead development for our Web and API Platform in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. This role requires strong decision-making, adaptability, and the ability to deliver high-quality products that align with business goals and customer needs. You’ll work closely with product managers, development teams, and cross-functional partners to translate product vision into impactful software solutions. This is a hybrid role based out of our Downtown Phoenix corporate office.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of API and web application development , excel in Agile methodologies, and be a reliable problem solver.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, prioritize, and maintain a product backlog aligned with the product vision and business objectives.
- Prioritize features and stories within sprints to deliver maximum value to customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure features meet customer needs and are delivered on time.
- Ensure backlog items are clearly defined, well understood, and properly estimated.
- Facilitate sprint activities, discovery sessions, and requirement translation into executable stories.
- Break down features into user stories and define acceptance criteria.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on the product domain and a key contact for stakeholders.
- Stay current with industry trends, web and API technologies, and best practices to drive innovation.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Product Owner or similar role.
- Hands-on experience with business process and requirements analysis.
- Strong understanding of API and web application development.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies (Scrum) and backlog management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
- Excellent decision-making, communication, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with user-centered design principles and web usability best practices.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive outcomes without formal authority.
- Some travel may be required.
