Full-Time Handyman / Home Service Technician

TruBlue Home Service Ally
Phoenix, AZ

TruBlue Home Service Ally is a nationally recognized home service franchise with over 120 locations across the U.S. We specialize in professional handyman services, home maintenance, and safety and accessibility upgrades that help seniors age in place and support busy families.

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Handyman / Home Service Technician to join our Phoenix team. This role is ideal for an experienced, reliable technician who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, works independently, and values professionalism in customers’ homes.

Our work focuses on aging-in-place solutions and long-term home care — not quick fixes. If you are detail-oriented, respectful, and motivated by meaningful work that improves safety, independence, and quality of life, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do
  • Perform plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and general home repairs (primary emphasis on plumbing, electrical, drywall, and paint)
  • Install grab bars, handrails, ramps, doorway modifications, and other mobility support solutions
  • Work inside occupied homes with professionalism, patience, and respect
  • Prepare and protect work areas, maintain cleanliness, and organize tools and materials
  • Communicate clearly and courteously with homeowners, caregivers, and team members
  • Use service management platforms such as Housecall Pro, Jobber, ServiceTitan, or similar systems to manage jobs, notes, schedules, and invoices
  • Assist with job scoping and provide input for basic estimating when needed
  • Represent TruBlue as a trusted in-home service professional
Who You Are
  • 5–10+ years of hands-on handyman experience across multiple trades
  • Strong experience in plumbing, electrical, drywall, and painting
  • Experience working with seniors, veterans, and individuals with mobility challenges
  • Technical background with hands-on experience using service management platforms
  • Familiarity with job costing, work order documentation, and service workflows
  • Ability to assist with estimating based on job scope and material requirements
  • Owns professional-grade tools required to perform the work independently
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, safety-minded, and respectful in customers’ homes
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment or independently as needed
  • Able to follow systems, checklists, and service standards
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation
What You’ll Get
  • Pay: $32–$38 per hour, based on experience
  • Paid Time Off: Accrues at ½ day per month
  • Holidays:
    • 8 paid company holidays
    • 2 floating holidays
  • Full-time, consistent work with regular hours
  • TruBlue uniforms and branded gear provided
  • Supportive, team-first work environment
  • Opportunity for long-term growth with a stable, service-focused company
  • The chance to do meaningful work that genuinely helps people
Additional Requirements
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Must successfully pass a background check as a condition of employment

What You’ll Do

  • Perform a wide range of residential handyman repairs and maintenance projects across multiple trades
  • Complete home safety and accessibility upgrades for seniors, veterans, and individuals with mobility needs
  • Prepare, protect, and maintain clean, organized work areas in occupied homes
  • Manage tools, materials, and job execution efficiently to meet quality and safety standards
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners, caregivers, and internal team members
  • Document job details, notes, and photos using service management platforms
  • Represent the TruBlue brand with professionalism, respect, and high standards of workmanship

Who You Are

  • Reliable, respectful, and willing to learn

  • Interested in carpentry, painting, drywall, light plumbing, or general home repairs

  • Comfortable working as part of a team and taking direction

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

  • Legally eligible to work in the U.S.

  • Owns or is working toward acquiring basic hand tools (preferred, not required)

What You’ll Get

  • Full-time, consistent work with regular hours

  • On-the-job training and mentorship from experienced professionals

  • TruBlue uniforms and branded gear provided

  • Supportive, team-first work environment

  • Opportunity for skill development and career growth

  • The chance to do meaningful work that genuinely helps people
