Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide skilled perioperative nursing care as the circulating RN for a variety of surgical specialties
- Assess patients, develop nursing diagnoses, plan and implement perioperative interventions, and evaluate outcomes
- Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation and perioperative records in line with facility policies
- Respond promptly to emergency cases and serve on-call as needed, preparing for quick-turnaround situations
- Support infection prevention practices, patient safety initiatives, and sterile technique in the OR
- Encourage and pursue scrubbing opportunities to expand technical skills across specialties

Requirements
Qualifications
- Current, full and unrestricted RN license from any U.S. state, territory, or Puerto Rico
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
- Minimum two years of clinical nursing and/or operating room experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association (to be obtained within 6 months of hire if not current)
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification to be completed within 6 months of hire if not current
- Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) expected to be completed within 1 year of hire
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) to be completed within 2 years of hire
Education
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
Knowledge & Skills
- Perioperative patient assessment and care planning
- Operating Room circulation and familiarity with sterile field principles
- Experience or willingness to scrub in Orthopedics, ENT, GYN/OB, Ophthalmology, Dental, and General surgery
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and ability to act under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with multidisciplinary surgical teams
- Cultural competency and sensitivity to the needs of Native American communities served
- On-call readiness and ability to respond to emergent surgical cases
