ED - Emergency Department (RN)
Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Travel Position Location: Yuma, AZ Job Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12s Days Pay: $2,485/week Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join on a travel contract in Yuma, AZ. The Emergency Nurse will provide immediate and compassionate care to patients with urgent and emergent medical conditions in a fast-paced hospital setting. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, highly skilled in rapid assessment, and committed to patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to patients presenting with emergency medical conditions.
- Perform rapid assessments, monitor vital signs, and identify changes in patient status.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and emergency interventions as ordered.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary staff to coordinate timely care.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up needs.
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately and promptly.
- Maintain compliance with infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies.
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license in Arizona (or compact license).
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Emergency Department nursing experience.
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred).
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure emergency situations.
