Project Engineer

A growing structural steel fabrication and construction company is seeking a Project Engineer / Project Managerin Phoenix, Arizona & Allen, TX to support large commercial construction projects ranging from $1M–$90M.

This role is ideal for Project Engineers or Assistant Project Managers with 1–5 years of construction experience who want to gain exposure to managing projects from preconstruction through completion while developing into a Project Manager.

What's In It For You?

• Base Salary: $90,000 – $115,000

• Annual Profit Sharing / Bonuses: $15,000 – $40,000 (depending on company / individual performance)

• Total Compensation Potential: $120,000 – $150,000

Key Responsibilities

Preconstruction:

• Assist with subcontractor and vendor pricing for project bids

• Oversee the material and labor takeoffs and ensure accuracy

• Review subcontractor proposals against project specifications

• Prepare pricing summaries and assist with bid submissions

• Issue and track RFIs to clarify project scope

Project Management

• Help manage projects from inception through completion

• Track project costs, schedules, and work-in-progress reporting

• Issue purchase orders and coordinate vendors and subcontractors

• Review drawings and identify scope or design changes

• Visit job sites and assist with field coordination (Usually back home every night, or the following day) No long-term travel required, office based PM role)

• Support management of multiple active projects (Up to 5-10 projects on occasion)
