Schedule Options:

• Monday–Friday, 9:30am–6:00pm (local time)
• Sunday–Thursday, 8:00am–4:30pm (local time)

Training Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm CT
Location: Fully Remote (Direct Work From Home)
Pay Rate: $53/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Remote Pharmacist to join our team and provide clinical review and dispensing services for specialty and retail medications. This role focuses on prior authorization review and coordination of patient care while ensuring compliance with all pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and complete prior authorization criteria in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Review patient profiles, drug interactions, sensitivities, and prescription histories.
• Contact prescribers to clarify or resolve prescription-related questions.
• Accurately enter and process prescriptions into the system.
• Provide exceptional patient service by addressing medication questions and concerns.
• Support the doctor call area and/or therapeutic intervention team as needed.
• Dispense prescription medications and perform final quality checks.
• Maintain strict adherence to procedures for quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Collaborate with other pharmacy staff to ensure accuracy, safety, and timely service delivery.

Qualifications

• Education:
• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) required.
• Licensure:
• Active pharmacist license in state of residence and in good standing.
• Experience:
• At least two years of experience as a pharmacist.
• Prior experience in prior authorization (PA) reviews or clinical case review in a high-volume or production environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency using multiple technology platforms, clinical systems, and Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate with both clinical and non-clinical staff.

Technical & Work-from-Home Requirements

• Must provide high-speed internet with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps download / 3 Mbps upload .
• Must have a smartphone to download and use a secure VPN token.
• Must have a dedicated, private workspace used exclusively for work during business hours.
• Must be able to participate on camera during training and virtual team meetings.
• Work area must be secure to protect company property and confidential information.
• Screens, conversations, and documents must not be visible or audible to others.
• Workstation must be locked or powered off when unattended.
• Must adhere to Teleworker Privacy Practices and maintain a stable living environment suitable for remote work.
