As we continue expanding nationwide, we are looking for a strong Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join our leadership team at our Tempe, Arizona location . This role is ideal for a motivated leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering operational excellence, developing teams, and driving strong restaurant performance.
Position Overview
The Assistant General Manager plays a critical leadership role in the daily operations of the restaurant. Working alongside the General Manager, the AGM helps ensure all aspects of the business—from guest experience and food quality to labor management and team development—meet Houston TX Hot Chicken standards.
This position is responsible for leading shifts, supporting team development, maintaining operational discipline, and helping drive the store toward its financial and service goals.
Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership
• Support the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations.
• Lead shifts while maintaining high standards for service, food quality, and cleanliness.
• Ensure all team members follow Houston TX Hot Chicken SOPs and operational procedures.
• Monitor ticket times, order accuracy, and service flow during peak periods.
Team Development & Leadership
• Assist with hiring, training, and onboarding new team members.
• Coach and develop Front of House and Back of House employees to maintain brand standards.
• Provide leadership during shifts by setting the tone for professionalism, energy, and accountability.
• Help develop shift leaders and future managers within the store.
Financial Performance
• Assist with managing labor schedules to meet labor targets and productivity goals.
• Support inventory management and cost control initiatives.
• Monitor waste, portion control, and prep procedures to maintain food cost expectations.
• Drive average check growth through upselling culture and strong guest engagement.
Guest Experience
• Ensure every guest receives exceptional hospitality from the moment they enter the restaurant.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and resolve issues quickly to maintain brand reputation.
• Perform table touches and actively engage with guests to maintain a strong guest connection.
Cleanliness & Brand Standards
• Ensure the restaurant meets Houston TX Hot Chicken standards for cleanliness and organization.
• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
• Conduct regular walk-throughs of both Front of House and Back of House areas to ensure brand standards are met.
What We’re Looking For
• Previous restaurant leadership experience (Shift Leader, Kitchen Manager, or Assistant Manager preferred).
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
