EXTEX Engineered Products is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist II is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory and supporting warehouse operations to ensure materials are available for production. This role performs inventory control activities, cycle counts, shipping and receiving, and Outside Processing (OSP) support while ensuring inventory accuracy and compliance with company procedures. This position is based at our Glibert, AZ location.
Activities include, but are not limited to, picking orders from inventory, packaging product for storage or shipment, conducting cycle counts, creating repair orders, processing ERP transactions, and supporting daily shipping and receiving operations.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains accurate inventory records for all materials entering and leaving the warehouse.
- Investigates and resolves inventory discrepancies identified through daily operations and cycle counts.
- Picks, kits, and prepares raw materials for manufacturing orders.
- Builds and issues manufacturing orders within the ERP system.
- Creates Repair Orders in support of Outside Processing (OSP) requirements.
- Coordinates and performs cycle counts and completes inventory reconciliation adjustments as needed.
- Assists with the development and continuous improvement of inventory control processes.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and established inventory control procedures.
- Supports Shipping and Receiving operations by:
- Receiving, inspecting, and unpacking incoming materials and supplies.
- Picking, packaging, documenting, and preparing domestic and international shipments.
- Recording shipment information, including weight, freight charges, and carrier documentation.
- Monitoring daily shipping requirements to support on-time delivery.
- Safely operates forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, materials management, shipping/receiving, or logistics within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and ERP transactions.
- Experience working with ERP or MRP systems.
Required Skills:
- Inventory control and warehouse operations experience.
- Shipping and receiving experience.
- Experience using ERP or MRP systems (Quantum preferred).
- Ability to accurately perform data entry and maintain inventory records.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Aerospace manufacturing experience.
- Experience with Quantum ERP.
Travel:
Occasional travel, less than 5%
