Support Services Team Lead - Microbiology

Labcorp is seeking a Support Services Team Leader to join our team in Phoenix, AZ.

Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 7:00 am - 3:30 PM. Daily overtime required.

Job Responsibilities:

· Assist in the supervision of the day to day operations of the Microbiology department

· Help lead the team in their daily processes and procedures

· Assist with preparation of laboratory specimens for analysis and testing

· Oversee routing of specimens to their respective prep areas

· Encourage process improvements and best practices

· Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy

· Resolve any production errors as requested by management

· Research and resolve any production errors while escalating when necessary

· Engage in continuous process and service level improvements

· Perform quality assurance checks to ensure efficiency and accuracy

· Responsible for enforcing and managing policies and procedures

· Perform administrative duties as needed

Minimum Qualification:

· High School Diploma or GED equivalent

· 3 or more years of experience in laboratory, healthcare, manufacturing or warehouse experience

Preferred Qualification:

· Current or prior Labcorp experience

· Associates degree

· One year or more of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory experience

· One year supervisory or leadership experience

Additional Job Standards:

· Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures

· Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office

· Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal

· High level of attention to detail with strong organizational and prioritization skills

· Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions in a fast paced environment

· Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
