Position Overview
As Arixa continues to expand, we are seeking a results-driven Director of Loan Originations to lead business development efforts in the Arizona market. This role focuses on originating and structuring construction loans for Single Family Residential (SFR) projects , managing borrower relationships, and driving loan production.
The ideal candidate will have a strong credit background in real estate lending, particularly in construction financing, and a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships. This position reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer .
Summary of Primary Responsibilities:
- Originate and structure construction loan financing for Single Family Residential ("SFR") projects, ensuring alignment with underwriting guidelines and risk parameters.
- Conduct initial credit and borrower screening to assess financial viability, risk factors, and alignment with established lending criteria before advancing loan applications.
- Gather and review initial documentation required for loan submission, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with underwriting guidelines.
- Work closely with internal teams—including credit, legal, and operations—to ensure the timely processing and funding of loans.
- Manage a primarily self-generated book of business to maintain exceptional customer service, foster client relationships, and drive new business development through proactive engagement and networking.
- Serve as an Arixa brand ambassador by attending networking events, conferences, and industry gatherings to promote the firm's products and culture while educating prospective clients on lending solutions.
- Act as a thought leader in the local real estate market, providing insights into market trends, and strategic guidance to clients and colleagues while serving as a trusted resource within the industry.
Education and Experience
To successfully perform this role, an individual must be able to fulfill each essential function effectively. The qualifications listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
- Relevant experience in construction loan origination within the Arizona market, preferably in SFR lending space.
- Strong credit knowledge related to Real Estate lending.
- Proven client relationship and portfolio management skills.
- Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM platforms.
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and a positive, results-driven attitude.
Compensation:
This position is classified as full-time, regular exempt with a competitive base salary and an incentive commission plan based on loan origination performance.
