Pharmaceutical Account Manager (Licensed Naturopathic Doctor)

Primary Purpose:
A leading integrative pharmaceutical provider is seeking a Licensed Naturopathic Doctor to serve as a Pharmaceutical Account Manager. This role combines clinical expertise with strategic business development to promote customized compounded therapies to healthcare professionals nationwide. The ideal candidate will be responsible for territory management, account growth, provider education, and clinical consultation—all with the goal of improving patient outcomes through advanced, personalized medicine.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform total account management.
Build and manage a national sales territory with a focus on integrative and wellness healthcare providers.
Develop and execute territory sales plans with clear goals to consistently meet sales growth targets.
Present to, educate and promote with providers the use and application of compounded therapies.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with providers to add valued to and emphasize a patient centered model of care.
Expand current accounts and secure new business opportunities through consultative selling.
Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows as needed.
Engage, gain visibility and establish credibility within the healthcare community through active involvement in various professional, academic, charitable, advisory and patient support organizations.
Keep CRM records current with sales activity, pipeline updates, and account notes.
Work with internal teams to support new account onboarding and ongoing customer needs.
Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements:
Education, License & Knowledge:
Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from an accredited institution, required.
Naturopathic Doctor (ND/NMD) License in the state of Arizona and in good standing, required.
Certificate to Dispense, DEA number, required.
Malpractice insurance covering full scope of practice, required.
Strong knowledge of scientific, disease, clinical, therapies (IV, Specialty Drug, Lyme Disease and Oncology) and regulatory environment, required.
Experience:
2 years of sales, business development experience, required.
2 years of account management experience, sales and commercial experience, preferred.
Prior experience with compounded medications, supplements, or integrative protocols, preferred.
Skills:
Strong relationship-building, communication, written and verbal skills.
Ability to establish and maintain productive relationships with key opinion leaders.
Strong existing network and presence within the healthcare provider and academic communities of assigned geographic territory, required.
Strong consultative selling skills.
Strong presentation skills along with the ability to offer complex disease management solutions and education to the healthcare community.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced challenging environment and deliver on growth goals.
Organized, analytical with good time management.
Proficient with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of Salesforce, preferred.
Professional presence.
Able to travel as needed, including overnight travel (25%) within assigned territory.
