As an Overnight Security Supervisor , you would be responsible for providing a safe and secure environment for our guests and team members for and assisting with the daily supervision and training of Security Officers. This includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:

• Responsible for all shift operations and ensure they are in accordance with Arizona Biltmore policies, procedures and standards of conduct. Responsible for the professional performance of all personnel assigned to their shift and must be capable of both oral and written communication and be able to train their respective shifts in these procedures. Prepare and conduct daily shift briefings and is responsible for internal shift training in accordance with Department policies and standards.
• Assist in the development of Safety & Security staff through proper training and consistent follow-up to ensure effective, competent and intelligent execution of Loss Prevention responsibilities.
• Meet regularly with the Director and Manager of Safety & Security to review incidents and current issues regarding their shift. Keep management informed at all times on major incidents.
• Ensure the Daily Shift Logs reflect all security activities of their shift and that all reports and logs are distributed to the appropriate divisions, departments, Human Resources and the Director of Security. Review all reports prior to their shift to ensure if training or follow-up action is necessary.
• Ensure a thorough and complete investigation and report is made on all losses, thefts, and accidents incurred by guests, members, patrons and employees during their shift. Ensure the incident reports are prepared accurately and concisely.
• Enforce all hotel rules, regulations and the Company’s standards of conduct. Follow up with the Director and Manager of Security in the event disciplinary action is necessary.
• Conduct detailed investigations where warranted with the Director and Manager of Loss Prevention.
• Assist in conducting various investigations including internal team member injuries and incidents.
• Ensure security programs within their shift are consistently followed (Lost & Found, Hotel Parking & Decals, Inspections).
• Develop and maintain an ongoing constructive relationship with group contacts, local municipal and other governmental agencies, insurance carriers, and similar agencies where a positive relationship benefits the resort.
• Demonstrate commitment to making a conscientious effort to eliminate or reduce the risk of injury to our guests and associates, damage to our property or the property of others. Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency, and demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency.

This is a full-time position, and you must be available to work weekdays, weekends and holidays. The shift is overnight from 10:30pm-7am.

• At least one (1) year of hotel security experience, required
• CPR and First Aid Certified - Preferred
• Valid Arizona Driver’s License - and good driving record
  
• Prior leadership experience is a plus
• Keen eye for detail
• Team player & gets along well with others
  
• Great communication skills
• Excellent listening skills and the ability to deal effectively with internal and external guests by demonstrating a high level of patience and diplomacy.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
