• Salary: $50,000 to $80,000 per year

Position Overview

As a Parts Manager, you will lead the parts department to operate profitably and efficiently. You will manage staff, oversee inventory and budgets, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide excellent customer service.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Service Manager to ensure timely parts availability for internal jobs
• Prepare and manage the annual operating budget for the parts department
• Hire, train, motivate, and evaluate parts department staff
• Schedule and direct daily activities of the parts team
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records
• Develop and enforce policies that maximize customer satisfaction and operational efficiency
• Handle customer complaints promptly according to dealership guidelines
• Establish competitive pricing balancing volume and customer loyalty
• Monitor and adjust inventory to reduce obsolescence
• Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations affecting parts sales
• Ensure safety standards are followed in this safety-sensitive role

Working Hours

This is a full-time position with scheduled work hours in accordance with dealership needs.

Job Requirements:

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Minimum of five years’ experience in an automotive parts department preferred
• Some sales experience required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions and information
• Proficiency with computers, including MS Office and company system applications such as Motility Systems2K
• Ability to manage department profitability according to dealership guidelines
• Continuous visual acuity for computer use and report handling
• Physical ability to bend, sit for long periods, reach above shoulders, and lift up to 50 pounds
