Must have a medical assistant program diploma or certificate to apply . We are looking for a FULL time long term medical assistant to join our team. We have 2 office locations (Mesa and Gilbert). Candidates must be willing to work at both office locations . Candidates must be reliable, have computer skills, be able to work in a fast paced environment, be able to multitask and prioritize. Must have pediatric vaccination knowledge. Pediatric medical assisting experience is preferred but not required. Medical Assisting program graduate required . CPR Certified required. Working schedule is M-F 8am-5pm (exact time ranges). We offer PTO, Health insurance, bonuses, and a retirement plan.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

• Open exam rooms, clean in the afternoon and as needed at night.
• Stock exam room drawers and cupboards and ensure all supplies are quality dated and not expired.
• Obtains the chief complaint of the patient’s reason for the scheduled visit.
• Accurately enters the patient’s medical information into the EMR, such as immunization records, diagnostic results, correspondence and all other appropriate documents.
• Performs routine vitals, such as height, weight, head circumference, pulse and blood pressures.
• Performs injections and give medications as ordered.
• Conducts in office lab testing such as, rapid strep screens, rapid flu screens, urinalysis, hemoglobin, glucose checks and delivers accurate results to the provider.
• Completes requisitions and follows up with lab and x-ray outcomes as required and makes sure the provider is informed.
• Makes patient phone calls for lab results, tests and prescriptions.
• Conducts in office vision screens, hearing screens, ear irrigations, SVN treatments and oxygen tank.
• Accurately sets up trays and treatment room for procedures and assists the provider as needed.
• Appropriately cleans the area after a procedure and properly dispose of any contaminated supplies.
• Clean and autoclave instruments
• Has knowledge and maintains strict adherence to OSHA protocols.
• Preserve patient confidentiality.
