Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Anesthesiology;Cardiac Anesthesiology
Description
This contract position is on-site and offers an exceptional opportunity to work within a dynamic medical practice environment that prioritizes patient care and innovative anesthetic techniques.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anesthetic care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes and patient safety. This position is ideal for a skilled anesthesiologist looking to contribute to a reputable organization while gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing cardiac procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs during and after anesthesia
- Collaborate with surgeons and other medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Assess patients' medical histories and prepare anesthetic plans
- Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management
- Educate patients and families on anesthesia procedures and safety
- Stay current with advancements in anesthetic techniques and technologies
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Arizona
- Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology
- Experience in cardiac anesthesiology preferred
- Strong clinical and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7a-5p
No call
Patient Volume: 5 per day
Patient Population: 100% adult
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
