What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Carry and maintain assigned armed post equipment in accordance with site policies, Allied Universal guidelines, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and support orderly entry, exit, and movement throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card and/or license as required by state and/or local law.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
