Job Title: Insurance Verification Specialist (IVT) – Eligibility & Benefits
Location: Mesa, AZ | On-site | Full-Time, Direct Hire
Pay Range: $18–$19/hour (based on experience and interview performance)

We’re hiring a dedicated Insurance Verification Specialist to join a leading healthcare organization in Mesa, AZ. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity focused on eligibility verification, payer plan structures, and policy interpretation. If you have a strong background in real-time and batch insurance verification and want to grow your expertise in a collaborative environment, this role is for you!

Schedule & Benefits

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch)
Location: On-site in Mesa, AZ

Responsibilities

• Conduct insurance eligibility verifications (real-time and batch)

• Confirm key data elements: member ID, DOB, coverage type, etc.

• Navigate common portals (e.g., Availity, Change Healthcare)

• Interpret payer-specific guidelines and authorization requirements

• Understand commercial and government plans (Medicare, Medicaid)

• Identify and document HMO, PPO, EPO, POS plan structures

• Assist with coordination of benefits (COB)

• Research and apply coverage criteria and medical necessity standards

• Support denial management efforts through accurate verification and policy interpretation

• Stay updated on payer-specific rules, regional plan differences, and reimbursement models

✅ Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in insurance verification or medical front office required

• Familiarity with major insurance portals (Availity, Change Healthcare, etc.)

• Knowledge of payer types and plan structures (e.g., UHC, BCBS, Aetna)

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and ready to work on-site full-time
