Surprise / El Mirage, AZ | Temp-to-Hire | Immediate Openings

PPG Staffing is hiring on behalf of a well-established structural steel fabrication company in the Surprise/El Mirage area. We are currently seeking experienced Structural Welders and Material Handlers to join a growing team. These are primarily 2nd Shift opportunities with a limited number of 1st Shift openings for qualified welders.

Open Positions

Structural Welder/Fitter

Pay:

• 3rd Class: Starting at $22.60/hour
• 2nd Class: Starting at $24.35/hour
• Additional $0.70/hour shift differential for 2nd Shift

Requirements:

• Recent experience in structural steel fabrication
• Experience welding wide flange beams and heavy plate
• Proficient with GMAW (MIG) welding
• Experience with:
• • Fillet welds
  • Multi-pass fillets
  • Partial Joint Penetration (PJP)
  • Full Joint Penetration (FJP)
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings

Please Note: This is not a fit for automotive, TIG, stick, pipe, or equipment welders. Structural steel fabrication experience is required.

Material Handler

Starting Pay: $21.45/hour

Ideal candidates will have experience working in a structural steel fabrication shop and using overhead cranes .

Preferred Qualifications:

• Structural steel shop experience
• Overhead crane experience
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment

Please Note: Extensive forklift or heavy equipment experience alone does not qualify for this position.

Schedule

1st Shift

• Monday through Thursday
• 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM

2nd Shift

• Monday through Thursday
• 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM
• Friday overtime may be available

Most current openings are on 2nd Shift .
