Vaco is seeking a Staff Accountant in Scottsdale, Arizona!

Responsibilities include:

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities including AP, AR, banking transactions, and billing.
• Support month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare supporting schedules and assist with financial statement preparation.
• Generate and reconcile client billing files using Excel data extracts.
• Track credit card expenses, vendor payments, and reimbursements.
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Compliance teams.
• Assist with reporting, forecasting, and ad-hoc projects.
• Contribute to ongoing process improvements within accounting workflows.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
• Open to recent graduates; 0–1 year of experience preferred (internships a plus)
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles
• Intermediate Excel skills required
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software preferred
• Proactive, self-starter mentality with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, startup environment
• Willingness to work onsite Monday–Friday
• Salary $60K–$65K
