We are an established mobile veterinary service desiring to serve dairy farms and mixed animal clients in Casa Grande, Florence, Stanfield, Maricopa and surrounding rural areas. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, on-site veterinary care to dairy cattle, small animals, and other livestock, supporting the agricultural community with expertise and compassion. As a key member of our mobile team, you will help establish our presence and reputation in the region.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Mobile Dairy/Mixed Practice Veterinarian to provide comprehensive veterinary services through farm and home visits. This role involves working with dairy cattle, and other livestock, delivering diagnostics, treatments, and preventive care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide mobile veterinary care, including herd health management, reproductive services, lameness evaluations, and emergency care for dairy cattle.
- Perform examinations, diagnostics, vaccinations, and surgeries for livestock (e.g., goats, sheep, or horses) as needed.
- Develop and implement herd health protocols and treatment plans for dairy clients, emphasizing preventive care and productivity.
- Conduct on-site consultations, ensuring clear communication with farmers and pet owners.
- Maintain and manage mobile veterinary equipment, supplies, and medications to ensure operational readiness.
- Build strong client relationships to foster trust and loyalty within the rural community.
- Assist in developing service protocols and pricing for the mobile practice.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and standards.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in AZ.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in dairy and mixed animal practice, with strong skills in dairy herd health management.
- Proficiency in bovine medicine, small animal care, and basic livestock procedures.
- Comfortable working independently in a mobile setting, with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with farmers, pet owners, and the rural community.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with enthusiasm for building a mobile veterinary practice.
