The Customer Service Representative – Tax Compliance is responsible for providing professional and courteous assistance to individual and business taxpayers by handling inbound telephone calls related to tax compliance, delinquency, and general information inquiries. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to integrity, service excellence, and maintaining a positive attitude while resolving customer concerns efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly and professionally to inbound phone calls in a fast-paced call center environment .
• Resolve Tier 1-level inquiries and issues related to tax compliance and payment arrangements.
• Review and verify taxpayer accounts , ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
• Gather and update key data in multiple internal systems simultaneously.
• Educate taxpayers on available online resources, payment options, and current tax policies .
• Submit and follow up on requests for payment arrangements .
• Accurately document actions and communications in applicable systems.
• Participate actively in team meetings, training sessions, and engagement activities .
• Consistently meet or exceed performance expectations for quality, accuracy, and productivity.

Required Skills:

• Strong multitasking and time management abilities.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Workspace .
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to retain and apply knowledge effectively.
• Creative problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• Goal-oriented with a focus on achieving performance targets.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Preferred Skills:

• Bilingual proficiency (Spanish-speaking preferred).
• Experience in process improvement initiatives .
• Familiarity with banking or financial services environments.

Required Experience:

• A minimum of two consecutive positions , each lasting at least one year, in a fast-paced call center environment.
• Previous experience in national call centers within industries such as finance/banking, insurance, or telecommunications (non-technical support).
