Description:
Analyst Desktop Support is a third tier relating to desktop services at ATSU. The person in this position, will be working under minimal supervision, will mentor other technicians in providing end-user support for the processes. Analyst Desktop Support will keep his/her supervisor apprised of new developments or techniques listed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the smooth running of desktop technology on both campuses, CHCs, Regional sites and for all ATSU students, both residential and non-traditional.
- Resolve issues when escalated from Tier 1 and Tier 2 technicians.
- Prepare processes in order to introduce new technology to ATSU, while maintaining current technology to optimum standards.
- Analyze the issues that may arise during the introduction of new resources and the issues that can arise with existing resources.
Skills & Experience:
- Two year ITS or ITS experience.
- Strong leadership
- Ability to analyze and resolve issues while under pressure
- Ability to interpret and apply information from manuals
- Calm and poised when under pressure
- Gets along well with people
- Strong communicator
- Self-Starter
- Can work with limited supervision
- Be able to multi-task
Knowledgeable in a wide range of critical IT processes to include but not limited to:
- Desktop architecture
- Endpoint management administration
- Microsoft Server and Active Directory administration
- Group policy management
- Building and deploying OS images
- On-call after hours support
