Medical Director – Tempe, AZ

We are seeking a Medical Director to join a team of 10 client-focused doctors.

Our client is an elite, AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital in Tempe, Arizona. The practice has a progressive medical and surgical philosophy, high level of client service, and a collaborative practice culture. Their exception community reputation gives them a wide clientele base from around the Phoenix Valley and beyond. The facility offers services in laparoscopic surgery, endoscopy, ultrasonography, therapeutic and surgical laser, digital radiography, high-level internal medicine patient care, dentistry and oral surgery, routine and complicated soft tissue and orthopedic surgery in addition to a passion for diligent preventative care.

The hospital is open 7-days a week with extended hours. This position allows you to combine your passion for medicine and compassion for pets with a commitment to professional growth. Our client offers opportunities for growth with a large network of doctors, clinical study programs, and internships for recent graduates.

Duties include but are not limited to the following

• Direct management of the DVMs, annual reviews, medical record review
• DVM schedule
• Reviewing and negotiating DVM contracts, DVM hiring
• Medical related client or patient problems
• Assisting in content generation for website and social media, responding to all social media review and questions
• Identifying facilities issues and best route to address issues
• Hospital vision, identifying and implementing new medical and surgical services
• Reviewing DVM invoicing
• Generating content and moderating monthly staff meetings
