We are currently seeking an experienced Med-Surg Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in a fast-paced acute care setting caring for both adult and pediatric patients.
Unit Details:
- 20-bed Medical Surgical Unit
- Adult geriatric and pediatric patient population
- Excellent staffing ratios:
- Non-COVID: Typically 4:1, max 5:1
- COVID: Typically 2:1, max 3:1
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care for adult and pediatric med-surg patients
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Float to qualified departments as needed
- Assist with flu immunization clinics if assigned
- Attend staff meetings and maintain compliance standards
Requirements
- Active Arizona RN License required
- Minimum 3 years of Med-Surg experience required
- Minimum 1 year of pediatric experience required
- Must be comfortable caring for both adult and pediatric patients
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (AHA)
- Previous acute care experience required
