Enterprise Storage Administrator

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Enterprise Storage Administrator in Phoenix, AZ. This is a one-year contract assignment. Onsite interviews and five days a week working onsite in downtown Phoenix are required. Overview: We are seeking a proactive and skilled Enterprise Storage Administrator to manage and enhance our storage environment using a variety of tools and technologies. This role is critical to ensuring system visibility, rapid issue detection, and effective response coordination across infrastructure services. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, secure, and maintain highly available enterprise data storage systems
• Proactively monitor storage systems and generate utilization reports to identify and resolve issues
• Troubleshoot performance problems on FC network and NAS storage systems, applying long-term solutions
• Refresh data across environments per application or service owner requests
• Develop and maintain SOPs and documentation that support repeatable processes and rationale
• Publish team-approved storage standards and policies
• Follow ITIL practices for Change Management
• Work across multiple vendor hardware and software platforms
• Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and alerts tailored to user and departmental needs
• Create and manage documentation templates for SOPs and knowledge transfer
• Perform daily health checks of storage, network, and server environments
• Schedule and execute system reboots or failovers for patching or outages
• Manage incoming ServiceNow tickets related to monitoring and storage issues
• Open vendor support cases as needed
• Collaborate with internal teams, management, and vendors to resolve issues
• Participate in meetings to promote observability services
• Provide regular status updates and maintain clear communication regarding system health

• Hands-on experience with enterprise storage platforms
• Strong understanding of storage, network, server, and application principles
• Proficiency in fiber channel and NAS technologies
• Familiarity with server and networking technologies

• Experience performing daily system health checks and managing patching/maintenance
• Proficiency with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems

• Strong interpersonal skills; Able to work with technical and non-technical teams
• Ability to document processes and facilitate knowledge sharing

• SNIA and vendor-specific storage certifications
• Advanced experience with Cisco MDS and Broadcom Brocade fiber channel infrastructure
• Experience with VMware, Microsoft, and Linux server environments
