Enterprise Storage Administrator
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Enterprise Storage Administrator in Phoenix, AZ. This is a one-year contract assignment. Onsite interviews and five days a week working onsite in downtown Phoenix are required. Overview: We are seeking a proactive and skilled Enterprise Storage Administrator to manage and enhance our storage environment using a variety of tools and technologies. This role is critical to ensuring system visibility, rapid issue detection, and effective response coordination across infrastructure services. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, secure, and maintain highly available enterprise data storage systems
- Proactively monitor storage systems and generate utilization reports to identify and resolve issues
- Troubleshoot performance problems on FC network and NAS storage systems, applying long-term solutions
- Refresh data across environments per application or service owner requests
- Develop and maintain SOPs and documentation that support repeatable processes and rationale
- Publish team-approved storage standards and policies
- Follow ITIL practices for Change Management
- Work across multiple vendor hardware and software platforms
- Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and alerts tailored to user and departmental needs
- Create and manage documentation templates for SOPs and knowledge transfer
- Perform daily health checks of storage, network, and server environments
- Schedule and execute system reboots or failovers for patching or outages
- Manage incoming ServiceNow tickets related to monitoring and storage issues
- Open vendor support cases as needed
- Collaborate with internal teams, management, and vendors to resolve issues
- Participate in meetings to promote observability services
- Provide regular status updates and maintain clear communication regarding system health
- Hands-on experience with enterprise storage platforms
- Strong understanding of storage, network, server, and application principles
- Proficiency in fiber channel and NAS technologies
- Familiarity with server and networking technologies
- Experience performing daily system health checks and managing patching/maintenance
- Proficiency with ServiceNow or similar ticketing systems
- Strong interpersonal skills; Able to work with technical and non-technical teams
- Ability to document processes and facilitate knowledge sharing
- SNIA and vendor-specific storage certifications
- Advanced experience with Cisco MDS and Broadcom Brocade fiber channel infrastructure
- Experience with VMware, Microsoft, and Linux server environments
