The expected ENTRY pay range for this position is expected to be $21.03 to $25.38 per hour.

Job Type Classified – Judicial CPR Department D800 Superior Court About the Position Position Overview About The Position: The Administrative Specialist performs complex administrative work and serves as the main point of contact for families in Juvenile Court. The Administrative Specialist will establish continuous methods of communication with the Juvenile Court Administration and with families involved within the court system. - High School Diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of responsible clerical and/or administrative experience
- An equivalent combination of post-secondary education or job-related experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.
- Knowledge of the child welfare system
- Associate's degree
- Customer service principles
- Office practices, procedures, and processes
- Microsoft Office Suite, e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Operating various office equipment and machines
- Communicating effectively; both verbally and in writing
- Using critical thinking skills to perform work functions accurately and professionally
- Maintain high levels of professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity in all interactions
- Process and handle confidential information with discretion
- Plan, organize, and maintain workflow.
- Work independently and/or as part of a team.
- Exercise discretion in handling and working with sensitive and/or confidential information.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Use effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks at one time

- Provides a variety of moderately complex customer service on the telephone or in person; explains policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Receives, sorts, reviews, and processes specialized paperwork, forms, letters, and memos, reviewing then for sufficiency of information, conformity, completeness, timeliness, and all required documents.
- Provides information, instruction, and assistance to the public, other agencies and/or other County employees.
- Responds to inquiries and concerns from the public and other agencies; resolves complaints.
- Enters, edits, and retrieves data from a variety of electronic systems; may verify accuracy of lower-level employees' work.
- Creates, updates, and maintains moderately complex spreadsheets, databases, and reports.
- Determines and computes fees; receives, verifies, and accounts for checks, money orders, credit and cash payments made in person or by mail; reconciles and balances monies received against transaction totals.
- Schedules appointments and meetings for individuals and groups; prepares meeting material and attends meetings as necessary.
- May explain how to perform their work to others.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
