TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Show Low, Arizona, 85901!
Job Title: Labor & Delivery RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring Must-Have: - 3+ years of experience - C-section experience required - Proficient in fetal monitoring and actions taken for fetal distress - Experience with pre-eclampsia - Clinical background in high-risk patients Description: Responsible for providing nursing care in labor and delivery. Unit consists of 7 labor and delivery beds and 2 triage beds. Average of 1-3 births per day with approximately 830 births per year. Ratios are typically 1 nurse to 2 patients. Must be able to manage OB emergencies until a provider arrives. May float to other units as needed. Support staff includes Patient Care Technicians and Health Unit Secretaries. Nurse manager occasionally sees patients if required. OB/Neonatologist is not in-house. A pharmacy is available 24/7 on-site. Weekend shifts are required, with a minimum of 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks. Call requirement is one shift every 4-week schedule. Experience caring for patients in couplet care is beneficial.
