Inventory Control Supervisor
Job Overview
Employees primarily work in the warehouse and can be exposed to loud noise levels, vibration, mechanical hazards, and moving objects or other vehicles. May be exposed to cold and hot temperatures, inclement weather conditions, hazardous physical substances, and fumes. Employees may interact with staff and public and private representatives in interpreting and enforcing departmental policies and procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Overseeing the inventory control system for the warehouse, ensuring accurate tracking, and reporting of inventory levels.
- Supervising a team of inventory clerks or associates, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Manage employee attendance and job performance.
- Ensure employees are adhering to AvAir policies and procedures.
- Project managing shipments to meet deadlines.
- Monitor all Cycle count programs and ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Analyzing inventory data and generating reports to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Implementing and enforcing inventory control procedures, including receiving, inspection, storage.
- Monitoring and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of inventory data in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards for handling and storing inventory, including hazardous materials, if applicable.
- Providing training and guidance on inventory management best practices to warehouse staff.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in inventory management.

Qualifications
- Physical demands – Must possess mobility to work in a standard warehouse setting and work with and around a variety of equipment, parts, and inventory, strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium physical work; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, calculator or scanner. Positions in this classification bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 30 pounds and heavier weights with the proper team lift or equipment.
- Education & Experience – Any combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade and one (1) year of experience in warehousing using automated inventory procedures.
- Personal characteristics- Employees are expected to maintain a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and the ability to be punctual daily.
- Licenses- Possession of or ability to obtain a Forklift Operator’s Certificate by the end of probationary period.
