Youth Mentor - BHT

Position Summary: Rimrock facility is a residential facility dedicated to providing support and guidance to residents in a therapeutic environment, helping them to achieve their goals and enhance their overall well-being. The RTC team works in collaboration with a treatment team in order to implement therapeutic programs and activities designed to promote social skills, emotional regulation and personal development in its resident.

Schedules are 8- and 10-hours shifts

Hourly Rate: $19.00 - $21.00 hourly

Location: Rimrock Arizona

Saturday and Sunday 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Saturday and Sunday 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM

Essential Duties:

1. Provide direct care to clients in accordance with individualized treatment plans.
2. Demonstrate core competencies of a Behavioral Health Technician role.
3. Communicate effectively with team members, clients, parents/guardians, and case managers.
4. Utilize redirection and de-escalation techniques to support client safety and emotional regulation.
5. Engage residents in individual and group activities, encouraging positive peer interactions and healthy socialization.
6. Respond to crises and emergencies using appropriate intervention strategies to ensure resident safety.
7. Monitor client behavior and document progress, challenges, and significant changes.
8. Plan and facilitate therapeutic activities considering age, gender, and budget guidelines.
9. Accurately complete required documentation, including activity logs, medication logs, transportation logs, cash logs, and client case notes.
10. Maintain a clean and safe facility and vehicle, including basic housekeeping tasks.
11. Meet productivity and performance expectations.

Minimum Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 1 year of related experience OR a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
2. Must be at least 21 years of age.
3. Valid driver’s license with the ability to be insured in Arizona.
4. Ability to pass criminal background checks, fingerprint clearance, and drug screening.
5. Current Fingerprint Clearance Card, CPR/First Aid, CPI Certification, and Emergency Safety Response training preferred.
6. Ability to maintain required annual trainings and certification
