The Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System (SAVAHCS) in scenic and sunny Tucson, Arizona, is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Physician - Neurologist. Candidates must be eligible for a faculty appointment with the University of Arizona, commensurate with clinical experience and academic achievements, to facilitate the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows.

Collaborative and Supportive Team: Our Neurology division members actively participate in outpatient clinic services and quality improvement activities. Enjoy the support of a hospitalist service that reduces the demands of in-patient care, allowing subspecialty divisions to focus on their areas of expertise.

Key Job Duties:

• Participate in quality improvement activities and comply with all agency, facility, and department rules and regulations.
• Supervise and train fellows, residents, and medical students from the University of Arizona College of Medicine rotating through the Neurology division.
• Maintain American Heart Association BLS certification and ensure compliance with VA and SAVAHCS regulatory requirements.

Work Schedule: Full-time, Permanent, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Requirements:

• United States Citizenship (Non-US Citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified US citizens in accordance with VA Policy).
• Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
• Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in any US State.
• Board Certified in Neurology.
• Successful completion of Residency Training in the USA.

Competitive Pay: $250,000 - $285,000 per year with annual performance bonuses and regular salary increases.
