Merchandise Supervisor
Job Title
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Merchandise Manager, assists with retail managerial procedures at Angel Stadium.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise & lead a staff of up to 10 people.
- Be an aid for certain outside functions for Angels events (i.e. Training Camp, Fan Fest, Family Day, etc.).
- Assist with reporting, nightly business and any other reports as needed.
- Assist with identifying problematic issues and concerns.
- Maximize both employee and customer satisfaction.
- Assist with check-in/check-out procedure as necessary.
- Learn and train others to effectively produce customized jerseys.
- Assist with maintaining proper inventory levels.
- Prepare retail locations for events and game day operations.
- Work with visual displays and merchandising of stands. Setting up displays to best attract customers' attention.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Previous retail and/or customer service experience a plus.
- Customer service oriented with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
- Highly motivated with a pleasant and upbeat attitude.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced team setting in addition to work independently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable with operating Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to work fluently in English and bi-lingual skills are a plus.
- Must be able to work long periods of time with constant standing, walking and lifting.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
- Must be flexible to work all Angel Stadium events including late nights, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work at a fast pace
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions. Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.
