As our restaurant continues to grow, we’re looking for a talented Bartender/Server to join our dynamic team.

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Bartender/Server to provide exceptional service to our guests at Copal Contemporary. This dual role requires proficiency in crafting high-quality cocktails and beverages while also serving tables to ensure a seamless dining experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, has strong bartending skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Bartending:
  • Prepare and serve a variety of cocktails, beers, wines, and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair, adhering to Copal Contemporary’s recipes and standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area.
  • Engage with guests at the bar, providing recommendations and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Monitor inventory and assist with restocking bar supplies as needed.
• Serving:
  • Take food and drink orders, provide menu recommendations, and ensure timely delivery of items to guests.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by anticipating guest needs and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to maintain smooth operations during busy shifts.
  • Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, following restaurant protocols.
• General Duties:
  • Uphold Copal Contemporary’s high standards for cleanliness, safety, and hospitality.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up and breaking down the bar and dining areas.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues and maintaining professionalism.

Qualifications:

• Proven bartending experience with strong knowledge of cocktail preparation, mixology, and beverage service.
• Previous serving experience in a high-volume restaurant is a plus.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of Mexican cuisine, culture, and beverages (e.g., tequila, mezcal) is a bonus.
• Must be 21+ and hold any required certifications (e.g., alcohol service training, if applicable in your state).
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Will be hired to work specifically for Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sunday closing shifts.
